  • Inspect - Clean - Dry your gear and keep the waters clean. Boots, nets, waders, and gear that get wet can carry an Invasive Species from river to river.

INSPECT
Take a close look at your equipment for any rocks, mud, plants, moss or other materials. Physically remove it.

CLEAN
Thoroughly clean your equipment with water and a brush to remove any attached materials.

DRY
Completely dry your equipment in the sun.

Vail, CO - September 20-23, 2012


The America Cup International Fly Fishing Tournament is pleased to invite you to one of the best fly fishing venues in the United States. Held in the uber mountain town of Vail, Colorado in Eagle County USA.
September 20-23, 2012. This is a 5 person team event, based on FIPS Mouche rules. Beats will be set on each river with Controllers.  We are including two Loch Style venues this year - boat rules. A valid Colorado fishing license needs to be purchased by each Competitor. The America Cup Trophy will be given to the winning team and winning individual. There will be medals awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams and individuals.
Awards party in Vail is open to all!

The America Cup is organized and operated to promote US and international competition in the sport of fly-fishing and to provide program and monetary support to Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing. The mission of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing is to assist in the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active duty military personnel and veterans through fly fishing and fly tying education and outings. The America Cup is in its fifth year of operations and is a featured Town of Vail event in 2012.
