INTERNATIONAL FLY FISHING TOURNAMENT

TAC

2009 Venue

Day 1 Rivers only
Day 2 Rivers only
Day 3 Still water – lakes and ponds are all open

The spirit of the Rally is to let the Teams choose their own water. As a still water session is needed, we are making Day 3 a Still Water only fly fishing day. The Controller assigned will determine if water is running or still.

Summit County is full of trout. Start your plan of attack early. This is a numbers game so go out there and work the water as hard as you can. Move spots, change streams, go fish the water you known, how you know!

*Aquatic Invasive Species Management Strategy- cleaning will be required*

The event format will be a ‘Fishing Rally’.  Each team will meet in the morning at the Scoring Center where a controller will be assigned to each 2 man team.  The team will then take a single vehicle and fish anywhere they want.  Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance is required. The accompanying Controller must measure and record scoring fish.  There will be a set time to return to the Scoring Center and failure to return on time will void that days scores.
Fish the water you know, the way you know!

We are planning to have the Controllers drive the 2 Man Teams. We must encourage safe driving and to stay within the limits of the law. Get a map, plan your days fishing. Watch the clock. Be back to the Scoring Center on time. We must live to fish another day!

This is a 2 man team event and the rules will be posted on the website.  There is a 3 fly rule. Captain’s meeting to be held on Aug. 25th, 2009, 7 P.M. to go over rule changes and answer any questions.  Meeting locations will be determined closer to the event.

Contact Dave Pehle with any questions regarding the waters.

A new rule outline will be posted soon
