The America Cup International Fly Fishing Tournament is pleased to invite you to one of the best fly fishing venues in the United States. The Town of Frisco in Summit County Colorado is hosting this fly fishing event in the true heartland of high mountain trout territory.

Event Agenda

The Event - August 22th-28th 2009.
August 22nd - Free concert in Frisco  featuring Dicky Betts of the Allman Brothers Band and Tab Benoit
August 23rd thru the 25th will be optional practice days
August 26th – tournament fishing day - rivers
August 27th – tournament fishing day - rivers
August 28th – tournament fishing day – lakes (3/4 day)
August 28th – awards dinner in the evening

The event format will be a ‘Fishing Rally’. Each team will meet in the morning at the Scoring Center where a controller will be assigned to each 2 man team. The team will then take a single vehicle and fish any public water they want. The accompanying Controller must measure and record scoring fish. There will be a set time to return to the Scoring Center and failure to return on time results in a points deduction penalty.  Planning and execution are critical to winning.

August 23, 2009 Sunday
           Optional practice day 
           Controller practice 10:00am - 12:00pm - Avon, CO - Nottingham Lake by the paddle boats.

August 24, 2009 Monday
           Optional practice day 
           Controller practice 5:00pm - 7:00pm - Frisco, CO - Frisco Marina at the Island Grill         

August 25, 2009 Tuesday
           Optional practice day 
           7:00pm Captains Meetings / Teams / Volunteers – at the Backcountry Brew Pub in Frisco
                        Final Questions and Answers

August 26, 2009 Wednesday
            7:00am – 7:30am Scoring Center at Frisco Marina - Teams are assigned a Controller
            7:30am – go fish any public river
            4:30pm – Cut off time - must be back before 4:30pm to turn in your scoring sheets to Scoring Center
            5:30pm - 6:30pm Scores will be posted at the Scoring Center and then to web site

August 27, 2009 Thursday
           7:00am – 7:30am Scoring Center at Frisco Marina - Teams are assigned a Controller
           7:30am – go fish any public river
           4:30pm – Cut off time - must be back before 4:30pm to turn in your scoring sheets to Scoring Center
           5:30pm - 6:30pm Scores will be posted at the Scoring Center and then to web site

August 28, 2009 Friday (3/4 day) 3pm cut off time today!
           7:00am – 7:30am Scoring Center at Frisco Marina - Teams are assigned a Controller
           7:30am – go fish any public still water - lakes and ponds
           3:00pm – Cut off time - must be back before 3:00pm to turn in your scoring sheets to Scoring Center
           5:00pm – 8:00pm – Awards Dinner – Frisco Marina - Island Grill
